National TPS Alliance Reaffirms Commitment to Defend Rights and Dignity of TPS Holders and Immigrant Communities
Nationwide — Yesterday, it was announced that former President Donald Trump and J.D. Vance won the 2024 United States presidential election, becoming the 47th President and Vice President of the United States. The Republican Party has also gained control of the Senate and, although not finalized, is currently leading in the House of Representatives.
In Response Members of the National TPS Alliance have Issued the Following Statements:
“This administration is no stranger to us; in response to the threat of family separation, the National TPS Alliance was born”. Said José Palma, National TPS Alliance Coordinator “We fought back and won against the racist terminations of protections for TPS families. Today, the National TPS Alliance stands unwavering in its commitment to defend the rights and dignity of TPS holders and immigrant communities nationwide. For hundreds of thousands of TPS holders, deportation is a matter of life and death, and we will not allow political forces to endanger our families or the communities we serve.

Our work does not end with an election—it continues with renewed purpose. We are more committed than ever to fighting for permanent protections and a future where every immigrant can live without fear.”
