Marina is a 47 year-old TPS holder from El Salvador and has lived in North Carolina for 20 years. She’s a mother of 3 children, 2 who have DACA and one who’s a US citizen. Marina has worked in the Carolina Meadows nursing home in Chapel Hill, NC, for 17 years.

“Everyday I wake up very early to make sure my family is taken care of and to work in a job that I love. Having worked at a nursing home for 17 years Ive become a part of many elderly peoples’ lives and they have too. Every morning I make sure the elderly have everything they need, their newspapers, their magazines, and that they feel good about their situation. I’ve been able to raise my family in a great state, purchased my home and really feel that doors have been opened for my family and I.” – Marina Vazquez
