California- As discussions on the upcoming infrastructure and budget reconciliation legislative packages reach its conclusion, with a final vote expected to happen at the end of this week, Claudia Lainez issued the following statement on behalf of the National TPS Alliance:
“It’s okay for some to push solely for Residency and for others to accept a parole status. We knew very well that not everyone would benefit from legislation. But we can stay unified. We can fight together to prevent people from being further harmed from a brutal dehumanizing status quo. We must remain unified to make progress. We reiterate to Democrats, stop dividing us, tell us what you will deliver, and if it benefits our community, we will support it.”
