TPS Alliance Statement on US House Passing $3.5 Trillion Budget Reconciliation Plan
Nationwide- Today, The US House of Representatives has officially passed the $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation plan, which includes a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS Holders, Farmworkers, and essential workers.
In response to this important news, William Martinez of the National TPS Alliance has made the following statement:
“This news reaffirms that congress has a commitment to move forward a reconciliation bill that includes permanent residency for TPS holders, Dreamers, Farmworkers and Essential Workers. As we continue to move one step closer towards finally securing permanent protections, we will in good faith, support congress through the next steps in this process to achieve this. We also remain committed to uplifting our voices & will refuse to see a final reconciliation deal that does not include keeping our families together.”- William Martinez, TPS Holder, Regional Organizer for the National TPS Alliance
